Superman is alternately portrayed as all powerful and then a little later he is shown at his most vulnerable both physically and emotionally.Another thing to like is the special effects. They are spectacular. It is by far the best looking Superman movie every. The action is shown closeup and clear. You will believe a man can fly.
On the negative side, for an action movie, there is very little action…really just two main sequences. At one point Lois is missing…her boyfriend and Clark spend a half hour searching her computer looking for clues….HEY CLARK, YOU’RE SUPERMAN. I DIDN’T JUST PAY EIGHT BUCKS TO WATCH YOUR SUPER TYPING ABILITY!
Anyway if you like Superman, go see this. Even if you don’t, go see it on the big screen. It will not be nearly as impressive on a television screen.
It's a good solid "B." Not perfect, but it's a good way to kill a couple hours..especially if you can get someone else to pay for the popcorn.
