“I pooted.” It was in big ten foot tall letters on about every fifth billboard I came across in Winston-Salem this weekend.
Evidentially they had been popping up in cities all over the country for weeks. At first they were just those words on a red background. It is a brilliant piece of viral marketing. People were raising a “stink trying to find out what the billboards meant.
Eventually a little character and a Cartoon Network logo was put up on the billboard and people knew what was going on.
It was done to generate some buzz for the network. Some thought it was a gas. Others thought it was just something done by an advertising A**hole. I personally think it’s a blast. It at least generated some conversation for our trip home.

Well what can I say...a rose by any other name smells just as sweet...but a poot...that's just funny.

Of course, Mrs. Monekyboy was asleep within 5 minutes of starting the trip home, so she didn't see all of the billboards.

Sure, I didn't take them. I got them from news coverage of the billboards. I didn't have my camera with me and wouldn't want to explain to my mother in law why I was pulling over to take pictures of "poot" signs.
Which brings me to some good advice...always blame the dog.
